PLEASE someone...ANYONE help!!! I have been getting that
stupid "Send Error Report" every 5 minutes! I can't surf
the web or check/respond to my emails without this error
report popping up every 5 minutes and shutting me down and
restarting my internet connection. This has been going on
for 2 weeks now and Microsoft obviously does not have
ANYTHING available to save my ass. No patches, no Explorer
upgrades, zippo! Can anyone offer some HELP???!!!

Thanks!

Hi Al,

First off if you can provide details of the error message that is occurring
this would be most helpful. On the error message screen you will see a
button that says 'Details'... Press it to display the details of the
error... You will then be able to select the error message and copy and
paste into a mail message that you can send to this forum.

In the meantime you can try the following.

I presume that IE is not running. If it is close the window...

Start the Internet Options Control Panel. You will find it in your Control
Panel Folder or use the menu Start\Settings\Control Panel\Internet Options..

On the Advanced tab you will find a setting to 'Enable third-party Browser
Extensions'. Make sure that it is un-checked..

Save the settings and then start IE.

If the error disappears then you will have to check you computer for
spy-ware or ad-ware that may be causing the problem, remove it, and then
check the Enable 3rd party Browser Extensions settings to enable your
toolbars.

Follow the instructions for installation of Ad-aware and SpyBot at this
link:

If the error does not disappear reply to this forum on this thread with
details of your error message.

I was having the same problem. GO to support.dell.com.
THere at the bottom of the webpage there is a link for
the cure for your computer. Get on somebodyelse's
computer and print the intructions out for the cure and
download the patch and a cure off the page with all of
the instructions. follow the instructions step-by-step
and this should do it for you.

Try creating a new profile and see if the problem goes
away. I had this problem about a couple months ago on a
friends computer. We found a virus, but clearing the virus
did not take care of the problem. I took Microsofts
suggestion and deinstalled office, and then did a repair
on the os by using the windows setup disk. This did not
fix the problem. I decided to create a new profile/user on
his OS. This will take some time to complete, but well
worth the hassel. The error's went away after the creation
of the new profile. Hope this helps you.
