I cannot get IE6sp1 to launch anymore. I have done all
the fixes that MS knowledgebas has said.(sfc /scannow,
Registry keys, reinstallation...etc) Nothing works.
Error everytime it launches. Any insight is appreciated.

Read the "IE Crashing Solution" thread below.. everyone
seems to be having this issue (dodgey patch from MS me
thinks!)... but the solution proposed in the thread of
taking off the Enable 3rd party browser extensions does
seem to work...

I posted that last night...but it's key to remember, in addition to disabling the 3rd party button under the display tab...you need to remove the spyware culprit off the system. I found 57 files when spybot cleaned up my system, but it was the typical assortment, Gator and mysearch and crap of a similar sort that must have been bundled into something I downloaded. After killing it, I was able to enable the 3rd party webpage link and everything worked fine again.

I am getting the same thing on my screen everytime I open
incoming and outgoing mail. Am also unable to download IE6
SP1. each time I try it comes up with the requirement
that "this update requires internet explorer 6.0 service
pack 1 to be installed" I have installed it all to no
avail.
If you have received any info subsequent to postiong your
original email I would sure appreciate any help I could
get.
