Can anyone explain why I am constantly receiving the above error message??
My O/S is Windows XP Pro (SP2) and Internet Explorer Version
6.0.2900.2180xpsp_sp2.
For what seems no apparent reason this behaviour commenced about 15 hours
ago and now occurs whenever I open my browser.
Error Signature:
AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer. 6.0.2900.2180 ModName: mshtml.dll
ModVer: 6.0.2900.2523 and then an 'Offset' reference which seems to change
each time the dialogue box appears.
I have an ADSL internet connection and have Norton AntiVirus 2004
Professional installed (last definitions are 3 November).
I managed to get to the Ms Knowledge Base item but it suggested that the
cause is having a Beta version of XP or a pre-public version of internet
explorer. Neither applies in my case. I have owned this notebook (Sony
VAIO) for 3 years and it came with XP Pro loaded. I use Windows Update and
Automatic Update and have not experienced any problems prior to this.
It's driving me CRAZY!!!
Many thanks
Tricia
