Internet Explorer hangs

when i try to go online, IE hangs; can't control browser by a keybaord.can
anyone figure it out what seems to be the problem in my IE.

any help would be appreciated..thanks
 
I am not sure if this is the same problem I am having,
but my IE still remains active even after I close the
page, when using certain sites (like playing spades on
Yahoo). I have to eventually "end the process" by using
the Windows Task Manager, as you cannot access any other
sites without doing so. Not sure if this is the same
problem, but I would really enjoy a good response. Thanks

our system is currently blocked advertisement sites or pop ups window.
this thing happens why i visit site with a lot of advertisement or popups.
eg. www.msn.com .others site works fine. i thought this problem can be
solve by using spyware (Lavasoft) or configure the regedit.
the only thing i can do is to restart the computer.

Are you using ZoneAlarm or Kerio with web filtering(I forget what Kerio
calls it). Turn it off if you are, or switch to Sygate, or Norton firewalls.
I had a similar problem I couldn't completely access some sites ,IE6 would
hang until I killed it with the taskmanager. I use Sygate now.
