This problem just cropped up. When I bring up IE 6.0 (SP2 on XP) I get a
white window and the hour glass just spins. Any links I try to go to from
other programs also react the same way. In my emails (Outlook), any message
with HTML has all the windows "X"ed and any links will also result in a white
screened window if I try to go to it.
My internet is working fine. I get all my email traffic and other programs
that use the internet. Another program and its IE 6 (although Windows 2000)
on the same router works fine. In fact that is what I am using to get my
question out there.
I tried to uninstall, but got the message about can't install over a newer
program. I followed to advice of changing the install tag in the register,
but it still did not work. The register tag reg_dword was changed to "0".
The same message came up about can not install over a newer version.
I am at a lose! Help!
