Has anyone had this before? I am running XP Pro with SP1.
Following a crash where I was copying web page documents into a Word file,
every time I open an IE page from anywhere (line command or icon) I receive
an error message:-
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
x Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplorer.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information
OK
A second box with the same information appears soon afterwards. I am slowly
working my way back through Restore Points, but the last four have failed -
it says that the System cannot be restored from this point?
Also in the Internet Explorer folder there is a suspicious file named
"xuqfjha.exe" is this a valid Microsoft file - does anyone else have this
file in their same folder?
I am considering running XP again just to reload the system.
I would be grateful if anyone can shed any light on this C++ error or a way
to remove it or fix it?
Thanks in advance to everyone.
Cheers,
Ron.
