Every now and then Internet Explorer (ver 6) freezes. I need to use
the task manager to shut it down. Then the program will not open
unless I open Netscape first and then Internet explorer will work. I
have tried reinstalling XP over the existing XP. I have checked for
viruses and spy programs. I have 768 Meg of memory so it shouldn't be
a memory issue. Any other ideas. All Microsoft updates have been
installed. Thanks for any ideas.

Are you managing the extra ram?

"Out of Memory" Error Messages with Large Amounts of RAM Installed
If a computer that is running any of the versions of Windows containing more
than 512 megabytes (for example, 768 megabytes) of physical memory (RAM)
installed.
