Internet Explorer freezes on windows update

My Internet Explorer freezes when I go to windows update
and click scan for updates this just started a few day
ago. Has any had this problem or heard of any service
bulletin on this issue

Windows Update Fails:
Disable your firewall and anti-virus when obtaining the updates.
