Internet Explorer for Windows 98

Frequent interruptions error messages. No matter what I
click on then I'm back to desk top.
"Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem
and needs to be closed," and on and on.

Having this problem everyday all day long and need
assistance to trouble shoot this.
