Internet Explorer: File/Print error

I have a customer that uses iPrint. When using a certain printer as the
'default printer', and from MS Internet Explorer, selecting 'file/print', we
get a protection fault.

'Function address 0x6180804c caused a protection fault. (exception code
0xc0000005) Some or all property page(s) may not be displayed'.

If we install the printer using the MS Standard Port Monitor, we do not get
this error. If we use a different Web Browser, example 'FireFox', we do not
get this error.

Of course if we use a different printer as the 'default printer' we do not
get this error. Changing the printer's print driver had no effect and we
still receive the same error.

Printing from MS Internet Explorer and selecting the 'print icon', we do not
get this error, only when using 'file/print'. Any ideas??

Go to Start | Run and type
regedit
and press <Enter>.
In the left column navigate to
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RPCKDM]
and highlight it. Right click it and select Export, giving it a name you can
remember. Then right click it again and select Delete.
 
Thanks for the response. I was not able to visit this customer until
yesterday. On the Windows 2000 clients, the customer does not have this
registry key RPCKDM.

We are at a lost as to what could be causing this. I failed to mention that
on Windows XP clients, the customer does not have this problem. This problem
only happens on Windows 2000 clients running SP#4.

Do you have any other thoughts or troubleshooting tips that might help?
