internet explorer errors

i have windows xp,internet explorer 6.i have been having
several problems and every time i call sony for support
they make things worse.i have been getting ie has
encountered a problem and needs to close often,also i
have several run error line and different #s,and at the
bottom of my ie bar when i open the internet it says done
but with errors?????please help me.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
