Internet Explorer Encountered a problem

Hi:
One user in our company have following error happen when
he connect to our Siebel server. The user has Windows
2000 Pro SP4 with most current Hotfix, and IE 6.01 SP1
also with most current Hotfix.

I have done following:
1.) Set Tools-->Internet Options-->Advenced to Default
by administrator login.
2.) Run w2kexcp.exe /u from C:\Program Files\Internet
Explorer\IE Uninstall. And reinstall IE6 after reboot.
3.) Install and run spyware, ad-ware.
4.) Remove Siebel related plug-in from
c:\winnt\downloaded program files.
5.) Logon as other user profile and get same result.


Error message as following:
Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and
needs to close.
Error message was content 40 module error. One of that is
Kernel32.dll


Any advice will be appriciate! Thanks

Would check first for parasites.

IE 6.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

This does not work. I have try every different settings on Advenced
tab, and reset it as Default with Administrator account. But, it still
want work. Thanks for your advice.
