I was checking to see if that icon was related to DAP,
didnt find anything yet; but, in the process I came across
this link that says DAP is safe (not spyware) .. thought
you might want to read. If you feel comfortable after
reading it, try to reinstall the software, and see if your
problem goes away.

If you don't feel safe ... sometimes software has other
names/abbreviations it goes by, when it attaches itself
inside the registry .. make sure you check all the
registry files. Did you a proper uninstall? By that I
mean, did you go through the Control Panel/Remove Change
programs .. and not just delete folders & files in Windows
Explorer?
Isn't Opera just a browser enhancer? I wouldn't think
that is your problem, if you didn't encounter problems
with that before. You can always uninstall, see if the
problem goes away, if not reinstall it (if you want to use
it).
I, personally, think you have a line hiding somewhere.
Have you checked your Sysedit files?
When you've tried these other avenues, why don't you email
me, so we dont have to get lost in more current postings,
and have to "hunt" for our post replies? Give good/brief
description in your subject line, so I don't delete it.
I'll keep looking for your icon / symbol.
IE?
