When I go to http://msdn.microsoft.com/library, IE
doesn't show the treeview (table of content) on the left.
It shows unavailable. I have installed all the recent
patches including SP1, Q828750 and Q824145. Can anybody
tell me what's the problem and how can it be fixed?

You might want to refresh your scripting engine:

Script engine.
Microsoft's Scripting download
Get the latest. Two download versions are available for Windows Script 5.6.
The first version requires Windows 2000, XP; the second version requires
Microsoft Windows 98, Millenium Edition (Me), or NT 4.0. Choose the download
appropriate for your operating system.

Henri,

Did you E-mail him too?

Frank has already replied and since he apparently didn't see that
I suspect he doesn't understand how to open a thread
in which case he won't be able to see your reply either.
OTOH now that he knows that he has written to the thread himself
perhaps he will be able to figure it out himself and see all of it.

BTW I suspect this means that he is using the *old* web interface.
The new web interface does threading better but obscures this NG.

Here's an excerpt about that from a recent post:

<excerpt>
Alternatively try using this link to the new web interface instead:

You can just type your name in the search field. There is no Expand All
option there but expanding individual threads is easier.

Hmm... it may be just as well that you have a known thread to search for.
In the message pane that that brought up there was a link to this newsgroup.
Clicking on that opened up the navigation tree on the left.
Apparently this newsgroup is buried under:
English
United States
Windows
Windows
Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer 6 General

I was almost ready to believe that they hadn't converted this newsgroup
to the new interface yet. I have no idea how they expect users to find
it that way.
