Hi. I'm using Windows XP Professional and Internet
Explorer 6.0 Everything is OK except one simple :)) error:
when I try to access some web pages, a download popup asks
if I want to save to disk or open the file from its
current location. Filename is always page's name. I save
this file to disk (it has no extension) and rename it to a
zip file and open it with winzip, I get the original html
file. Please help!

We had a similar problem with IE 5.5 and Windows 2000.
Scenario here is, the file is compressed (GZIPPED) and the
browser tries to Unzip on its own. So is the reason for
the file with no extension and when you save it as zip and
unzip you get the HTML file.
Fix i used in IE 5.5 and Windows 2000 is, in Browser
Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, select HTTP 1.1 over
proxy connections. Not sure how it works in IE 6 and
Windows XP.
