Internet Explorer 6 and Internet 7 on my computer does not work . I am able
to get on the internet with firefox and netscape but when I pull up internet
explorer I get the message

"The page can not be displayed. The page you are looking for is currently
unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or
you may need to adjust your browser settings."

When I run scannow it says I need to insert the windows xp disk but no disk
came with my computer

Although Microsoft promised support all I get is level one"techs" who know
nothing about computers and have difficulty speaking english.

Run a thorough check for hijackware.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.

I have run both Lavasoft and spybot and there is no spyware on my computer. I
also did a complete virus scan and there are no viruses on my computer.

Hi Bon,
Try uninstall IE7 from the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and
Reboot your machine you will find IE6 came back as the default Browser on
your machine.
IE7 still Beta Product not advisable for an averge user to have it on a
productive machine to run.
HTH.
Please let us know your progress.

Please cite the URL for your thread in the forum where you posted your
HijackThis log for inspection. Scanning with Ad-aware, Spybot and your
anti-virus application is not enough.

One wonders how you got IE7 if you can't get the Internet.
