Internet Explorer could not open the search page

I recently installed Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 on
my Win2K machine and now everytime I try to go to a
website I get the "Internet Explorer could not open the
search page." error. It doesn't matter what page I try to
go to, the same thing happens. Any ideas???

Please don't insult my intelligence. Of course I am
connected to the Internet. AT&T Dial-Up. The AT&T Homepage
comes up fine but I can't get to anything else.
