Internet explorer closing

Every once and awhile my internet explorer closes for no reason at all while
I am working or searching sites. There does not seem to be a reason for this
happening and I cannot find anything on the microsoft site. Has anyone
experienced this or have any ideas to help me.

Yes, I am having the same problem logging onto my Hotmail account.
I use IE6 and XP-Pro. I am also seeking information on the MS/IE site. It
appears that it may be a java problem, but just not certain. Please post any
references you may find and I will do the same. Thanks!

What version of Windows and IE are you using? Try the following and see if
it helps:

Open an ms-dos prompt window (Start>Run>) and type the following (one entry
at a time), and press enter after each line. A message will appear stating
that these have been registered successfully.

regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll (this command only for Win2000 and XP)
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Urlmon.dll
