I was able to access www.lipstickalley.com just fine up until about a month
or so ago. Ever since then, everytime I try to access the site I get rerouted
to Yahoo!
search or it just says that it cannot be displayed. I've tried three
different browsers, IE, Netscape, and Firefox and still nothing.

I'm able to access other sites just fine and I am able to access this
particular site on other pc's.

I have McAfee installed and Windows Firewall is off.

I tried pinging the website and it comes back at 100% loss, request timed
out. I've called Comcast and they show no restrictions on my server and had
me run a tracert. Based on that, they said something was wrong with the
routing in the area and had engineers come out and fix. Well the tracert
results are still the same and I still can't connect.

I'm running Windows XP, cable modem, no router, no parental controls.

It seems like I've run out of options, what else can I do?

Turn off McAfee and test with just the Windows firewall enabled - also try
changing your DNS servers to 4.2.2.1 for another test.

Yes, I know it isn't them as I mentioned that I can access the site just fine
from other PC's...I also mentioned in my first post that I've tried three
different browsers already - I.E., Firefox, and Netscape.

I checked my hosts file in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc and
www.lipstickalley.com isn't in the file. Just sites that Spybot has put in.
I also have other files in that folder referencing "hosts backup", "lmhosts",
"networks", "services", and "protocol". Should I look in these too?

Sorry I missed the details in your other posts. I have no idea why you can't
get to LipstickAlley without looking at your machine. You've got it blocked
somewhere obviously - firewall, other security software (SpywareBlaster,
Spybot S&D, Ad-aware, etc.), hosts file, proxy server settings. Without
actually seeing your machine I have no idea what you've got set.

I'm sorry that I was unable to help you.

That's the thing. All security software has been removed, Windows firewall
is off, the hosts file has been cleared and IE settings have been set to
default. Given that info, what else is there to look at? It seems as though
everything has been covered.
