internet explorer cannot access http pages

After the last windows update, I have noticed that recently created user
profiles are unable to access secured websites like GoogleMail, university's
websites, webmessenger etc. Explorer displays "page cannot be displayed"
when opening these pages. Also Windows messenger cannot login.
All old user profiles (created before) still works fine. So the problem is
in this new user account's (default) settings, right? But what is wrong?
Some registry tricks, please...
