Internet Explorer and Outlook Express have no connection
to the internet. However, ALL other programs do and I have
connection to the network. This is a very strange
situation. My wife's laptop runs Win Xp Home edition.
Everything was working fine until recently when the
browser stopped connecting to the internet and Outlook
Express stopped connecting to the internet. All other
programs still connect just fine and the network works
perfectly.

Has any else experienced this? Does anyone have any
suggestions?

Thank you,
George

Thanks for your reply.

As far as I know, nothing changed. I did, however, track
down the problem. My wife informed me of a programe asking
for permission to access the internet (thru ZoneAlarm) and
i determined which one it was. It was called
sahdownloader.exe. As I researched the file on Google, I
found out that it is SpyWare from Shop At Home! I
uninstalled it and everything works fine now. SpyWare is
bad enough, but SpyWare that doesnt install properly and
and causes disruption with basic Windows functions is
unacceptable!

Here is the site that gave me the info about the file:

Thanks again for your help/
