You usually would need to uninstall all add-ons such as: Toolbars Spyware protection Printer web modules and uninstall all spyware protection software before installing IE 8. Also, RealPlayer 11 needs to be install BEFORE installing IE 8. It is part of the install notes on IE 8's web site.
