Anybody using Internet explorer 8 Beta 2 yet..? Post your thoughts...

Hi Madxgraphics,

I have not used it yet, but I will download it this afternoon and then let you know what I think of it.

Regards,

Yeah, I had Beta one aswell. I'm testing it on Virtual PC running XP. Beta 2 doesn't seem to crash as much as Beta 1 did. Any thoughts from yourself Madxgaphics ? :p

I'm quite liking Beta 2...Its got some really nifty little features to it..Think a few could have been borrowed from FF..As for Beta 1, I just couldn't get it to work..It would crash as soon as I opened it..Otherwise Beta 2 is reat and I think once all the bugs etc are ironed out it is going to be a lot better..

Yeah, it is quite an improvement from Beta1. I haven't however tried the Traceless Browsing feature yet to be honest. But I do like the option, when a tab is right clicked, you get the option to open in a new window. (I'm quite sure if IE7 had this feature).

I'm starting to like Beta 2 quite a bit..Just recived a PM on here and IE8 gives a little pop up box to show I have a new pm...Nice

Must admit, I love the new feature (unfortunatly IE7 didn't have this) if IE8 crashes, when you reload the app, you get a pop up dialog box, asking if you wish to restore the most recent tabs / sites.

FF has had all the features you like for the last few years.

I liked IE8 beta2... apart from it would crash every time I pasted something into the address bar (which I do all the time!), so I had to uninstall it.

I'm looking forward to using the full version of it though

This is very true lol. But remember that Microsoft are a bit slow on the uptake lol

Hardly ! They sell prodicts that are still under development and get their customers to help them fix them and make mega bucks at the same time. They seem pretty clever to me.

:p
