Internet explorer 7 freezes and/or is slow to close

I have windows xp and my internet explorer likes to freeze up and either will
not close or is really slow to close. I have cleaned out the cookies and such

Try running IE without add-ons (click on Start | Run and enter "iexplore
-extoff" without the quotes). If that does the trick, you know what the
problem is.

If thar doesn't help, do a malware scan. Try some or even all of these
tools:

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1

is the preferred tool to use. It will help you to both identify and remove
any hijackware/spyware. Post your log to:

To download HijackThis:

Right-click on the following link to download HJTsetup.exe:

As for me iexplore.exe -extoff does the trick !
