Internet Explorer 7.0

Having installed IE 7.0 on PC with Windows XP Prof, all of my DESKTOP
shortcuts which use Explorer attempt to spawn IE 7.0 but hang.

If I start IE 7.0 before invoking any of the Desktop shortcuts which require
Explorer, all is well. I had been running IE 6.0 with zero issues. I'm
assuming that I have a setting that needs a change.

Any suggestions, appreciated.
 
Hello. I upgraded to IE 7 and had a lot of problems. I don't know for sure
if tis will resolve your issue but consider going back to IE 6. To unistall
IE 7 and go back to IE 6 go into the Control Panel, select Windows Internet
Explorer, remove it and you will now have Internet Explorer 6. Let me know
if this is helpful.

Which IE7 - the betaware or the newly released 'finished' version.
Please note that this group is for IE6 - IE7, which has no specific group,
should use the below

IE General newsgroup:

If download the Internet Explorer 7.0 - not the beta, there is no
uninstall listed anywhere in Add/Remove Programs and it isn't even
listed under the WINNT folder.

I don't think you looked hard enough. Near the bottom I see Windows
Internet Explorer 7. That may be it.
