when surfing the net i type an address in the box but i
am automaticly sent to the wrong address and several
other pages popup and when i try to close them it does
not respond

Dan,

Does it take you to the same page? And what site is it? Because it
sounds like you may have possibly gotten some spyware on your machine. Some
of these like lop.com and Xupiter can install and change settings or
defaults on your machine. And one thing they usually do is change the error
page that loads when you type an incorrect or incomplete link to a search
page of their own. If this is the case you may want to download and run
spyware removal programs such as Lavasoft's Ad-aware or Spybot Search &
Destroy. You can use these to remove the files that have gotten on your
machine. And that may help your problem. And if not, using them is still a
good idea, since they can clean all the spyware from your machine, and with
the case of Spybot and others, even block a lot of it.

Been hacked by parasites.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.
