I have a problem with a new computer I just bought, installed windows
xp with sp2. Everytime I open Internet explorer my links bar which is
shown rearranges everything in alphabetical order which is not how I
set them. I searched the net for a fix and attempted to alter 2
registry settings that were suggested (can't find these instructions
now for the life of me) which were to remove the read only checkmarks
through regedit. I was unable to do this as the marks were checked but
the boxes were grayed in. Any advice would be appreciated.

Favorites (topmost toolbar, not the button) > Links (folder): Arrange as
desired & close.

If you're running, e.g., Spybot, Ad-watch, Spysweeper, etc., these tools
have settings which may be disallowing the changes from "sticking".

Thank you very much for the reply, Bear. Would it be possible to post
the actual registry procedure for me? I was running Norton Antivirus
2005 and the most recent release of Zone Alarm so perhaps that was the
cause. Anyways, I'd be extremely thankful is you could post these
instructions for me.

You'd have to ask in a Zone Alarm-specific forum. Nothing in NAV 2005 should be affecting this.
