Internet Explorer 6 Error & C;lose

When I try to start IE 6, I get a dialog box that
says "ERROR" and IE 6 immediately closes. I tried to
reinstall IE 6 SP1, but I get a message that my computer
has a later version already inatalled and the
installation can't continue.

Can anyone help?

i am currently having the exact same problem! i know this
doesn't help you (me having the prob too), but if anyone
can help us please do!! everyone keeps telling me to go on
the net download a patch, but i have searched all of them.
i cant run a windows scan cause i cant get on the net on
