Please help in case below.

On many computers when browsing the internet ( for example http://www.pwn.pl
site ) Interent Explorer crashes unexpedetly.
Error from Event LOG:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Application Error
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1000
Date: 2007-05-17
Time: 09:24:34
User: N/A
Computer: WPLCWWRO709
Description:
Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2900.2180, faulting module
ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180, fault address 0x00010f29.

I changed all settings to defaults, reinstalled IE, whole system, checked
for spyware, tried workarounds such as disabling scripts, disabling HTTP 1.1,
checked for non compatible software.

The problem remains on many computers, many models (DELL Optiplex GX 520,
DELL Latitude d620) new systems.
It is mentioned on many forums whitout an answer.

WINDOWS XP SP2 with full update.
WINDOWS XP SP2 whitout update.

Changing the browser to Mozilla or IE 7 is not an option (web applications
IE6 compatible only)

ANy help would be apprecieated.

Hi Mateusz,

Google Desktop Search Installed? Check for the latest version.

Does this happen when you disable Toolbars and BHO's. IE all versions >
Tools>Internet Options - Advanced tab, uncheck "Enable third-party browser
extensions"

You did not supply the complete error log... there should be additional
information after the ntdll.dll entry... in the case of an incompatible
Google desktop search version this usually points to the msvcrt.dll (visual
c run time)
or it may list the COM component (dll) of the actual addon that is causing
the problem.

Regards.

ntdll.dll is a core Windows file. Try replacing it on the troubled machines
with a version from a machine that doesn't show the problem. It should be
in C:\WINDOWS\system32, backup in C:\i386\SYSTEM32 That version should be
691 KB (708,096 bytes)

This may be useful:

Replacing files protected by the Windows File Protection

Disable all IE add-ons, either Tools...Manage Add-ons, or Tools...Internet
Options...Advanced tab, Browsing section, uncheck "Enable third-party
browser extensions", Apply, Okay, reboot.
