Hi Ramesh,
I tried your suggestions and neither worked. First I went
to tools>>internet options>>programs>>and the box was
checked next to "Have internet explorer check to see if it
is the default browser" and click OK. I closed IE and open
it again and got nothing asking if I wanted it to be my
default b. I tried clicking the link for WindowXP after
checking that IE was under C:/programs and ended up
getting an error. Then I tried saving it to My Documents
in WE and opening it from there, but I still got an error.
Thanks for further help you might have.

Ramesh,
I get a small window that is called Registry Editor.
It says"Are you sure you want to add information in
C:\Document to registry. Under that are 2 boxes one Yes
and one No. I clicked Yes and got another window with a
red circle with an X that said" can not import C:\Document
Error opening in file. There may be a disk or file system
error. Can you help,
thanks,
john

C:\Document? I thought you put it in My Documents.
Try moving the .reg file to a folder without spaces in the folder name
and try it then.
