I have an older coputer running win 98 (1st ver) I tried
to hook on to hte net with an existing AOL account and it
connects but I can not grab any web pages? AOL says that
I have to reinstall IE 6.0 or it is a problem
with "winsok"s (sp)?
I do not have a disk for IE 6.0! CAn I down load this
from MS web page, save it to a cd and then install it in
my defective computer? Where do I find it on the MSC
webb page? when I put in for IE 6 all i get are a lot of
updates or service packs and the list is over 250 long?
Are "winsok" files part of IE 6.0? If not are they part
of MS Win 98? And if so do i need to reinstall the whole
opperating system and wipe out my data?
