Internet Explorer 6.0 will not install

Hi I'm trying to upgrade to 6.0, but it won't install.
Right now I have v5.5.

Anyways, I double click the installer, it begins the
install, then stops after a few moments and gives me an
error message saying some components could not be
installed. Please close all other programs and retry.

So I close everything else down and it won't work.

I am using Windows ME
