internet explored crashes

M.S.. IE has always been reliable for me but recently it
crashes 2 or 3 times daily with the message:
KERNEL32.DLL STACK FAULT IN MODULE 017f.bff7429f
I reinstalled the explorer 6.0.
I ran the fix problem with IE explorer program
I ran SFC ( NO ERRORS)
Where do I go from here. Should I reinstall win98se?
