I have a router with DNS configured. I have the primary
DNS set to my internal DNS. I have forwarders configured
to forward to my ISP. I am having drops in connections on
my Lan. Has anyone seen this before? My router has the
public IP address's configured and my servers have private
IP's configured. When my isp is looking at the ARP cache
of the modem, they are not seeing the Public IP.

thanks in advance

Please post an unedited ipconfig /all for the server so we can advise you
correctly on this problem.

If your broadband modem loses the ARP entry
for the public side of the router, that would
certainly explain why the Internet connection would
stop working at that time.

The ARP issue would have to be confined to the modem,
the router or the connection between them. So I would suggest
first doing the basic drill: making sure that the modem
and router firmware are up-to-date, and replacing cabling
and switches in the path between. And if you have a
DMZ network on the outside of the router then
that is the next likely place to look for trouble.

The DNS error is just the first thing that a browser usually
needs to do to access a website, and that is why that
error shows up. There's not likely anything wrong with
DNS that fixing the raw connection won't take care of.

What kind of connection drops are you seeing? Is it internal clients to internal server? Is it connections to the internet? Please
give us more detail.
