Internet Disconnection VERY Frequently

After between 5 and 20 minutes of being online, I constantly get disconnected, the it reconnects and the cycle begins again. I have the latest drivers for my modem, and all the settings are correct. What could cause this???
 
It could be line noise such as water in outdoor connection boxes etc...
what's the sound quality like on the phone?

There is a setting which disconnects if it thinks the connection is no
longer needed but it sounds like you're busy using it when this happens
right?

When it's connected what sort of speed do you get? 56k is pretty unlikely
but 45K up should be possible
