I can't disconnect from the internet or close links when I go onto different web sites. I have to use 'ctl+alt+del' to close the processes down. Am I missing an intenet driver or something very obvious. My o/s windows XP and my ISP is freeserve.

Cheers

i assume that you mean internet explorer is crashing?

if so then run full anti virus and spy/ware scan on your m/c. viruses and spyware are the main reason for IE crashing!

tks mate - I gave it a go, however the last couple of times the when I closed my explorer with 'ctl+alt+del', windows prompted for an error report. When I tracked the report it said that there was a 'driver problem' but could not pin point it to a particular one. Yesterday I downloaded 'driver tool kit' hoping it would help me discover which driver was missing/faulty, but still no joy. Any ideas/suggestions would be much appreciated. I dont want to format my hardrive and reinstall my software, but if that's what it takes then so be it.

Correct me if I am wrong but the Driver Problem error message is the error message Microsoft use to mean:

We haven't got a clue what is going on but we have to tell you something!

Try using Mozilla or Mozilla Firefox as an alternartive to Internet Explorer and see how you get on.

Download ADAWARE, Boot up your PC in Safe mode, run adaware, full scan and then post your results :)
