My computer was recently attacked by viruses. Now that my computer is virus
free, I'm having trouble staying connected to the internet after 20 min or
so. I am running Windows 2000 & connect directlyto internet via DSL to a
Sysco modem. Someone mentioned that my TCP/ICP port may be the problem or
that I may have a pinging problem. PLS HELP ME, I'm tired of restarting my
computer only so I can connect to the internet. Thanks in advance.

Let's ensure that your machine is virus-free, first.
Run the following online virus scanners.
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan
http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

Please post back your findings.

Great! Thanks for reporting back.
Contact your ISP for assistance in connecting your modem correctly.
As I do not know what is required by your ISP for connectivity, I am
at a loss to assist you further.
