IE keeps saying I haven't got a connection do I want to try again when in
fact I am on ADSL always on. When I click try again it works, any ideas?

Hi Barrie,
you must have configured to work offline anytime before. After "trying
again" go into IE and see whether "Work Offline" option is unchecked under
"File" menu.

Thanks.

Control Panel > Internet Options > "Connections" - "Tab" > check >
"never dial a connection" ok your way out.

I have DSL, but not a static IP address. I've wrestled with a similar
problem for a while, and here's what I concluded: IE/OE returns this
message whenever the connection time to the ISP exceeds a certain length.
While testing, I've discovered that if I "ping" the ISP prior to launching
IE/OE, it usually connects immediately. Hitting "refresh" (F5) also
connects, but these both still depend on the ISP traffic. Since IE/OE
lacks scripting, the best solution for me has been to just hit F5 and
wait.

Regards,

Neil
