I have a question about a servers windows 2000

Might there be setting to restrict the server from
getting out to the internet???

I have a dns server as a dc with AD

Everyone in the domain can use this dns server and get
out the net, do the name resolution and the whole nine
yards.

The thing is that when I try to access the net with the
exchange server it does not open the page. I can ping
www.google.com and resolves the IP but then the reqeust
times out. The same goes to the other server...by the
way the other server is the dhcp and dc server.

The two problem servers can ping to the router and beyond
that it can't ping. just times out. is it a setting on
the server or the router?? I am out of ideas.
 
Is the default gateway on the servers set to the internal IP address of the
router?
