Internet Connection Wizard

I am trying to connect to the internet using Verison DSL.
I am using the Windows connection wizard and selecting to
connect manually and choose the DLS connection with user
id and password as the Verison rep told me to do. My
problem is that this choice of connection is grayed out
along with dial up connection. The only connection choice
I have is the DSL connection without user id. How do I
ungray the selction I need to choose. I used to connect
to the internet via cable modem and used the AT&T
software. I have successfully uninstalled this software.
