Internet Connection Wizard - setup dial-up connection?

After uploading the latest Windows 2000 updates, my ISP dial-up dialer no longer worked. I went to setup new network connection using the wizard, and cannot get the wizard to complete step 3.
When putting in any variation of Connection name (wizard Step 3) it constantly gives me back the error:

""(connection name, I have tried many variations here)" is not a valid name. The entry name must contain at least one character that is not a space and cannot begin with a period. Choose a different name."

Any suggestions on how to get a dialer back up and working for me would be greatly appreciated.
