Internet connection wizard not allowing me to connect to DSL

John

When I upgraded XP Home to XP professional, the internet
connection stopped working. The IC wizard will not allow
me the option to connect to the internet using a DSL
service (PPPoE) I followed the instructions in the MS
article, but I still have the same problem.

Win XP professional
Westell DSL modem
SBC DSL service

Why not delete the dsl dial up, uninstall the modem, and then set the whole
lot up again. It is not too much trouble to do this if no one else as a
simple and fast solution to this problem.

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
