This considers DUN on Win 2K Pro: Cannot create new connection using
Internet Connection Wizard.
Start>Settings>Network and Dialup Connections>Connection> [Wizard
Opens]
Next> [Radio Button Select] Dialup to the Internet > Next>
[Radio Button Select] I want to set up to the Internet manually>Next
[Radio Button Select] I connect through a phone line and modem >Next
Enter text box phone number> entered: 5555555 (for instance) [Next]
Enter ISP User name and password> entered: jfuteb; 5yhnbrv$u (for
instance)[Next]
Enter Connection Name> enter: 5555555 (for instance... or anything else
also)
ERROR--------------------
Prompt: "Connection to 5555555" is not a valid name The entry must
contain one character that is not a space and must not begin with a
period. Choose a different Name.

SOLUTION:
This is the third time this has happened. I re-installed W2000 SP 4
from CD ROM before I wiped the hard drive again. Viola!
