internet connection to get repair for blaster

My 80 year old mother has XP, I have an old computer and
am unaffected. She cannot access the internet long enough
to get help from her virus program or microsoft. I
cannont download except from Microsoft, as I am not the
licensee for her virus program (we have different ones).
I will try to do the firewall repair suggested at the
webpage, anything else I can do?
