Bobby In Charlotte

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but here goes.

A customer has turned on Internet Connection Sharing and I believe this is
the reason he can not connect to the Internet. He is plugged into a D-Link
4 port Cable/DSL Router. A second computer on the router works on the
Internet just fine. The computer with the Internet Connection Sharing does
not work on the Internet.

How does one get rid of Internet Connection Sharing?

Bobby,

As you already have a router, re-run the Network Setup Wizard (netsetup.exe)
and choose the 2nd option (connects through a residential gateway), so that
your computer will not longer be a ICS host.
