If the other system is up and running, loading an application that tries to
make a connection to the Internet will cause the other system dialup to the
Internet if it is set to dialup automatically with the proper credentials
for logging into the ISP.
Usually just loading your browser and trying to make a connection to a web
site is enough but you may experience a slight delay when the system is
trying to connect to the ISP.
