I have window xp pro on my desk top and windows 2000 pro
on my laptop I use a linksys router and my internet is
connected via cable modem.
I want to connect both together but cannot figure how
to do it because the xp connection sharing wizard does
not work with windows 2000.
Anyone that can give some advise would be appreciated.

Plug them both into the router with cat5 patch cables. You do not use ICS
when using a router.
See:

http://www.wown.com
for configurations and instructions.

To enable ICS on a slave machine other running an OS other
than XP and if XP is your ICS server, you can run the
network setup utility that ships with the windows XP setup
CD.
