Internet connection sharing problems

Hi,

I have 2 Win2K machines (SP4) and I have a problem with internet
connection sharing. On the machine that connects to the internet,
everything works fine. However, on the machine that connects to the
net via LAN (100 mbps, works fine), I keep getting sporadic "Cannot
find server" errors in MSIE, lots of images not being loaded (have a
small X as if they're 404), sometimes having to try and open a page
5-6 times before it "finds" it and loads it.

However, some of the time it works fine more or less (I'm writing this
from the network machine and the Google logo didn't load on this page
for example).

Otherwise, the network seems to be working ok for transferring files
and such.

The only suspect software I have installed is ZoneAlarm and Norton
Antivirus, but I've tried disabling both on both machines to no
effect.

This is a real pain in the ass. Does anybody know what could be the
problem?

Try lowering the MTU on the network card of the client behind the ICS
machine.(do the ping test first as specified in the following KB article).
