I am sharing my Internet connection with a PC using WIN98.
Both the PC's have OFFICE 2000 and use OUTLOOK 2000 for
email. The WIN98 PC cannot send email directly, the email
has to be copied to the XP PC then sent.

Does anyone know how to configure the WIN98/OUTLOOK 2000
PC to send email over the shared internet connection??

Thanks

Have you checked the OUTLOOK 2000 setup on the WIN98 PC to make sure
that the email account has the right user name, password, SMTP server
name, SMTP authentication settings, etc?

If you use a shorthand for the SMTP server name, like "mail", you
might need to expand it to the full name of your ISP's server, like
"mail.myisp.net".

If all of that looks right, please reply to this message in the news
group (not by E-mail) with more information to help other people
understand the problem.

What exactly happens when you try to send email directly from the
WIN98 PC? What does the error message say?
