Hi There!
Our organisation has Windows 2000 server with SQL Server
also installed on same machine. We are having constant
problems with connecting to the internet. When connected
we seem to be able to get some information pulled through
but then other pages we can get nothing at all. "Action
Cancelled" keeps appearing yet nobody has cancelled the
action. This is getting very frustrating for all. If
somebody could give me some answers that would be great.
Is there a conflict between the two or have we not had the
system correctly installed.

How are you connecting to the Internet? You haven't given us any details at
all to work with.

It sounds like you may have a DNS issue, but that is pure guesswork. We
need much more detail to give anything more than a guess.

Sorry about that. internet is connecting through 56k
modem and other staff access through internet connection
sharing. we find we can access the home page of a site
but with errors (eg. graphics not loading) but when we try
to access any further into a web page, the error message
comes up and says "action cancelled" or "DNS error". Yes
it does keep saying DNS error but according to our tech
the DNS is correct. he has tried changing the DNS but to
no avail. Anything else you need to know just ask. I am
mere admin manager trying to sort out a complex problem :-)
